Golf Course Agronomy – Elevating Standards
From classic links to modern parkland layouts, the company provides agronomic direction that enhances both playability and long-term surface health. Programmes include course improvement strategies, annual maintenance programs, soil analysis, and renovation planning, all tailored to specific climatic and architectural challenges.
Courses in Ireland benefit particularly from a tailored approach that respects native soil profiles and microclimates. In the UK, Norris Consultancy advises on top-level venues preparing for championship play, while in mainland Europe, the company is involved in sustainability-led turf strategies—ensuring elite standards, while adapting to water restrictions and environmental regulations.
Diversifying Sportsturf Projects – A Broader Vision
Beyond golf, the company has expanded its influence across the wider sportsturf sector, with notable projects in horse racing, GAA and rugby.
We work with leading horse racing venues such as Listowel Races and Thurles Races, sharing agronomic expertise, with a focus on surface consistency and improved moisture management. These interventions help ensure race meetings are supported by safe, high-performing turf conditions regardless of weather variability.
Norris Consultancy plays a key role in promoting elite surface standards that meet the physical demands of professional sports pitches while balancing recovery windows, wear management, and seasonal stress. Trevor's cross-sector knowledge allows him to transfer insights and innovations from one sport to another, creating efficiencies and elevating sportsturf performance across all surfaces.
We are not only helping clients meet today’s sportsturf performance expectations, but also preparing facilities for the challenges of tomorrow.
